   * debian/rules: Switch to the dh sequencer and remove the legacy xsfbs
     build infrastructure. Preserve configure options, private helper
     paths and display-manager service handling; use host architecture
     when configuring cross builds.
   * debian/xdm.{config,preinst,postinst,prerm,postrm}: Replace generated
     xsfbs scripts with directly maintained scripts and small local
     diagnostics. Preserve skipped debconf questions, first-install
     detection, active-session checks, service selection and abort-
     upgrade behavior.
   * debian/patches/1002-use-system-cursor-theme.patch: Adapt Ubuntu's fix
     for LP: #443002 to respect the system default cursor theme instead
     of forcing whiteglass.
   * debian/patches/22_systemd_service.diff: Add a manual page reference
     to the native systemd service.
   * debian/xdm.{postinst,postrm}: Redirect update-rc.d stdout to /dev/null,
     preserving diagnostic stderr and failure handling.
   * debian/xdm.templates: Mark the daemon_name description as for internal
     use so the non-translatable template is recognized correctly.
   * debian/patches/1003-fix-manpage-conditional-blocks.patch: Use proper
     roff conditional blocks for random-source documentation, avoiding
     undefined requests while preserving conditional content.
   * debian/patches/1004-enable-manpage-table-preprocessing.patch: Request
     tbl preprocessing so the manual tables are rendered correctly.
   * debian/patches/22_systemd_service.diff: Describe the service
     documentation and Debian display-manager alias changes.
   * debian/patches/doc_mention_xdm.options.diff: Describe the Debian
     configuration manual reference.
