       - Bumped debhelper compat level to 14. Added dh-sequence-single-binary

       - Removed the redundant Priority and Rules-Requires-Root fields and the
         dependency substvars, which debhelper 14 handles automatically.
   * debian/copyright: updated packaging copyright years.
   * debian/patches/100_terminate_lexem.patch: added to resolve the ambiguity
     in the configuration grammar. Thanks to Vladimir Petko

   * debian/patches/110_use-captured-packet-length.patch: added to compute the
     payload size from the captured packet length, fixing a crash with a heap
     buffer overflow on crafted capture files. (Closes: #945092)
   * debian/patches/120_use-extract-prototype.patch: added to use the real
     extract() prototype, fixing the FTBFS with GCC 15. (Closes: #1114402,
     #1138604)
   * debian/patches/130_packet-structures-packed.patch: added to mark the
     packet overlay structures as packed, removing undefined behaviour on
     architectures with strict alignment.
   * debian/patches/90_initialise_srch_machine_pointer.patch: added to
     initialise the srch_machine pointer. Thanks to Vladimir Petko
     <vladimir.petko@canonical.com>.
   * debian/patches: added the Origin and Author fields to the DEP-3 headers
     of the new patches.
   * debian/source/lintian-overrides: added to override the OpenPGP signature
     check. Upstream does not sign the releases.
   * debian/tests/control: replaced the smoke test with a functional test
     suite.
   * debian/tests/crash.pcap: added the malformed capture file from #945092
     as a regression test.
   * debian/tests/extraction: added to check the extracted files and the
     malformed capture processing.
   * debian/tests/extraction: use the system configuration file, so the
     test does not depend on the quilt state of the built tree.
   * debian/watch: updated to the new format version 5, using the SourceForge
     release API, restoring the upstream version monitoring.
