     - bump debhelper compat to 14; add dh-sequence-single-binary to b-d
     - drop the substvars, now applied automatically
     - drop Priority, optional is now the default
     - bump Standards-Version to 4.7.4.1 (no further changes needed)
   * debian/rules
     - drop the buildflags.mk include, dh already exports the build flags
     - explain why dh_autoreconf is skipped
   * debian/dirs
     - remove, upstream's install target already creates usr/bin
   * debian/watch
     - bump version to 5; verify the upstream OpenPGP signature
   * debian/upstream/signing-key.asc
     - add the upstream signing key
   * debian/upstream/metadata
     - add upstream metadata
   * debian/copyright
     - update the upstream license to MIT-X11, changed in 1.67; license the
       packaging under the same terms
     - add stanzas for config.guess, config.sub, configure, install-sh and
       porting/getopt.c

     - extend packaging copyright years
